His solo accordion compositions have been hailed by audiences as
World Renowned Accordionist Musician and Composer
Anton began playing the accordion at age 11 and his first professional engagement was at 15.
Starting out playing Continental, Latin American and Classical music he quickly added Rhythm ‘n Blues, Pop, Rock and Jazz to his repertoire. Jazz became his main interest in the early 90’s which saw him complete a Degree in Jazz Piano Studies, followed soon after by a recording “Those Were the Days” featuring Accordion, Violin and Double Bass.
Another two recordings followed with “Live for Life” (2006) a cd featuring accordion and clarinet presenting “quintessential French” musettes, tangos, javas, sambas and also his composition “Move Tango”.
His latest recording is a solo of classical evergreens – pieces by Mozart, Chopin, Khachaturian, Brahms, Strauss, Grieg and Bach. The cd is titled “Anton – Primitus” and displays Anton’s unique interpretations on thirteen classical masterpieces.
Anton has won several music awards one being the prestigious Australian Accordion Society’s soloist of the year which saw him tour Europe as a guest soloist with the Australian Accordion Orchestra in 2004.
His versatility knows no end and he has been performing, touring, teaching and composing for 45yrs.
